Mondays

Mondays... sometimes I love them. Sometimes I love them less, but I've never been one of those people who always complain about Mondays and how they are the worst day of the week blah blah blah. (Mostly because I am a mega nerd and actually really enjoyed going to school each day).
Mondays are like a blank slate for the week. You get to determine your attitude.
So, you can either mope and whine about it OR start your week off feeling great.

5 Monday Morning Tips to Start your Week off Right:
  • Ok technically this is a Sunday night tip.. but still applies to Monday: go to bed at a reasonable hour. Cause if you stay up until 2am and have to get to school/work early in the morning- most likely you will not be a happy camper. I know I wouldn't be. I love waking up feeling recharged and ready to go for the week. Not getting enough sleep is like only charging you phone 50%- which we all know won't last ya very long.

  • Light exercise/yoga/stretch: Getting your body moving just makes me feel so much better in the morning. It wakes me up and makes me feel like I am one step closer of achieving my dream of being a Nike model. (Ha just kidding...kinda). When I don't work at 8am, I rather enjoy working out in the morning- but that takes a lot of time. So when I don't have hours in the morning to spare, it is still nice to do something simple to get the blood flowing- even if it's just stretching for 5 minutes. Just do something. Promise it will make ya feel better.
  •  Eat a good breakfast! I am probably the worst advocate for this cause I used to never eat breakfast and people would always say "ahh that's so bad for you..etc" **Kelsie** and I never really believed them cause I functioned perfectly fine without eating in the morning. BUT I have noticed that now that I work everyday, it does make me a happier person when I fuel my body at the start of the day.
  • Get dressed. Honestly, the hardest part about Mondays for me is having to put real pants on. I was the girl who wore sweatpants to school pretty much everyday until French Eric told me I looked like a mess (which he could say and get away with it cause he's French), and then I changed my ways and started dressing nicer and actually found out that I really love getting dressed up and I actually felt more confident about myself. So what I am saying is take some time for yourself in the morning. I know I always feel better about myself if I have taken a little time to get ready. So more than just throwing on the first thing you see and running out the door with pillow lines still on your face.
  • Time permitting, have some "me" time. This is time where you can relax and start your day stress free. For me, this is reading, blogging, organizing my room, watching tutorials, etc. I usually don't have too much time left in the morning, but I like squeezing in even 10 minutes to read. This way it's not such a drastic change from 'I just to woke' to 'think think think work work work'. Taking a few minutes to prep your brain, doing things you enjoy is a good way to transition into your busy day.

That's all I got.
